Off season


Lacrosse Drills
All drills must be done righty and lefty. These drills should take about ½ hour minimum

  • Wall Ball - You should practice throwing at least once a week

  • Floor-Wall-Stick

  • Wall-Floor-Stick

  • Regular overhand throwing

  • Regular overhand throwing, switching hands after each catch

  • Reverse stick throwing and catching

  • Catch and roll away from the wall(or defender…), switch hands and throw

  • Quickstick

    Other Useful skills to practice with a partner:

  • One-handed cradle to protect the stick

  • Flipping the ball to a partner

  • Ground balls

  • Over the shoulder passing

  • Shooting

  • Accuracy - Shoot Overhand, shoot for the corners

  • Quickness - Use your wrists and hands to shoot, not your body

  • Deception - Hide the stick, bounce the ball!

  • 1 vs 1- Defender with and without a stick, body position is most important!
